We don’t cut corners at Broad Branch. Our spirits contain only the best ingredients, sourced from a small group of carefully selected farmers and growers who share our focus on high-quality, responsibly grown goods. We mash and ferment our grains and sugar in-house to ensure authentic spirits that reflect our Blue Ridge Mountain heritage. Each batch is tempered and aged onsite to preserve and enhance the delicate, definining aromas and flavors. Our focus is on quality above all else. If we don’t enjoy something neat, we don’t put it in a bottle.

BROAD BRANCH X NANCY FRALEY

Tradecraft Bourbon Blend

Tradecraft is a 13 barrel blend of our signature low rye Big Winston bourbon and MGP high rye (21%) bourbon, aged 8 years at 121 proof. The blend was created by renowned master blender, Nancy Fraley. Notes of vanilla custard, cherry, orange oil, rye spice and hot chocolate on the nose followed by spicy cola, cherry creamsicle, heavy toasted marshmallow and butter cream on the palate. The finish is quite rich.

Nancy said: “The palate is exceptionally soft and round for 121 proof, with notes of North Carolina Cheerwine float with vanilla bean ice cream, date cake smothered with warm toffee sauce, orange-scented almond tort topped with summer berries, chess pie, and waves of brown baking spices on the finish.”

BROAD BRANCH X BOB TIMBERLAKE

Boykin Rye

In partnership with renowned American artist, Bob Timberlake, this special Rye blend was inspired by Bob’s experiences hunting upland game in Scotland where each day was celebrated with a “dram” of Single Malt Scotch, the native spirit. Bob wanted to create his vision for American upland game hunting by combining his sporting dog of choice, Boykin Spaniel, which is a native American Breed, with our native Spirit, Rye Whiskey. North Carolina is known for upland game hunting, particularly quail, and Broad Branch has incorporated the passion and rich sporting heritage in crafting this versatile expression of America’s quintessential spirit. Celebrate every day in the field with a new breed of rye.

This signature release is handcrafted from 100% prairie rye and aged for 4 years in new oak barrels. Like its namesake, the more time you spend in its company, the more you will be rewarded by its unique character. Whatever the hunt, wherever the field, you’ve found the right companion.

Boykin Rum

Boykin Rum is distilled from our classic 100% molasses marque on a pot still. The rum is bourbon-barrel aged for at least 4 years in our downtown Winston-Salem warehouse. We allow the esters to develop at their natural pace, foregoing a specific timeline, to ensure the quality and characteristics are exactly right for release. Boykin Rum is unadulterated, non-chill filtered and bottled at 100 proof.
